Embark on an adventure into the wild at our eagerly anticipated Woodsrunner Wilderness Skills Weekend—an immersive experience tailor-made for both nature novices and seasoned outdoor enthusiasts!

Fueling the flames of curiosity in bushcraft and wilderness skills, this event is your gateway to hands-on learning amidst the untamed beauty of nature. Picture yourself mastering essential skills while gaining a better understanding of the great outdoors. Beyond just honing self-reliance, bushcraft becomes the catalyst for confidence and a tranquil communion with the wilderness.

Whether you're a greenhorn or a trailblazer, this weekend beckons you to join our cadre and delve into the core of essential bushcraft skills.

What Awaits You:

🌲 Throughout the weekend, experience:  "No Stress, Mini Lectures, All Skills" at Woodsrunner School. Dive into key skills in the topics of Campcraft, Fieldcraft, Wildcraft, and woodcraft, unraveling them through engaging introductions, concise explanations, and vivid demonstrations. Then, practice under the watchful eyes of our seasoned instructors.

🏕️ Suitable for All Skill Levels: This event warmly welcomes participants at every stage of the wilderness journey—from fresh explorers to seasoned wanderers.

Weekend Necessities:

Pack your gear with the essentials:

  • Sip & Sizzle: Drinking and cooking water
  • Sheltercraft: Hammock, tent, or tarp
  • Cozy Nest: Weather-appropriate sleeping gear and attire
  • Rain or Shine: Raincoat or umbrella
  • Munchies: Food, snacks, and drinks
  • Culinary Kit: Cooking gear and utensils
  • Personal Pizzazz: Hygiene essentials

Additional Gear:

  • Tarazan Approved Ropework: 100’ 550 ParaCord and a Large Roll of #36 Tarred BankLine
  • Blade Brilliance: Fixed Blade Knife - non-coated, and has a 90-degree spine (We recommend a Condor Terrasaur, Mora Bushcraft, or Mora Garberg).

Ropework and Blades are available for purchase: You must make payment at least 10 days in advance before the scheduled event.

Bring your gear to flaunt and discuss among fellow enthusiasts. 

Saturday night promises a feast—a complimentary dinner featuring vegetable beef soup and f baked bread.

Camp in style—whether in a tent, hammock, or under a tarp. Connect with kindred spirits around the campfire on Friday and Saturday nights. Participants need to be at least 10 years old, and those under 16 need a guardian sidekick.

👥 Participants: A cozy maximum of 25

💰 Cost: A steal at $240.00

Duration: From 3:00 pm Friday to 3:00 pm Sunday

🔑 Prerequisite: None required

🔐 Eligibility: Students aged 10 and above, with under 18s accompanied by a paid parent or legal guardian.

Rendezvous Point:

Meet near The Brick House Campground, 49 Brick House Rd, Whitmire, SC, between 2:40 PM & 3:00 PM on Friday, February 4th.


From I-26, whisk away at exit #60 (SC 66), journey east for 3.5 miles, turn right onto Forest Service Road 358, and cover 0.1 miles. Look for our crew at the entrance of the field on your left—they'll guide you to the school property.
