SPOON CARVING

WORKSHOP

The Green Woodworking Workshop is a one day course where students can learn the basics of the green woodworking skill of spoon carving.

In this class students will be taught skills such as:

​

  • Wood selection

  • Tool choices

  • Ax skills

  • Knife carving

  • Wood finishes

  • Safety practices

 

By the end of this course students will be shown how to carve 2 types of spoons, and 

should have produced 2 spoons that they can take home.

​

All tools will be provided, but if students wish they can bring their own tools

  • Mora 106

  • Mora 164

  • Robin Wood Carving Ax

  • Silky Gomboy or Bacho Laplander
