Welcome to the Intro to Survival Training, your gateway to survival training in our carefully crafted introductory program. If you've ever dreamed of exploring the realm of survival skills and concepts, or if you want to better prepare your skillset before stepping into a more immersive course without the fast pace or stress induction found in our more advanced courses, now is the perfect time to jumpstart your learning adventure. Our exceptional instructors are ready to lead you through this experience in a relaxed, stress-free basecamp setting.
Overview: This introduction not only equips you with crucial wilderness skills but also lays the groundwork for our more advanced Wilderness Survival 101 Course. Each student receives an Emergency Kit to use while training. Whether you decide to advance your training or practice independently, this course opens the door to a wealth of valuable survival knowledge!
About the Event: Intro to Survival Training is designed to familiarize you with fundamental concepts and skills essential for surviving in diverse wilderness scenarios. Through interactive lessons and practical exercises, this course aims to empower you with the confidence and foundational abilities needed for outdoor adventures and unexpected situations.
Prerequisite: No prerequisites are required. This introduction is open to individuals of all experience levels.

Eligibility Requirements: Students must be at least 8 years old. All students younger than 16 must be accompanied by a paid parent or legal guardian.
Meetup Location: Students need to meet our staff near The Brick House Campground, 49 Brick House Rd, Whitmire, SC 29178 between the hours of 9:30 AM and 9:50 AM on Saturday.
Directions: From I-26, take exit #60 (SC 66), drive east for 3.5 miles. Turn right onto Forest Service Road 358 and drive .1 miles. There is a field just a short drive to your left. You will see our staff members parked at the entrance of the field to meet you. Turn in and they will provide you with instructions. (This is the meetup location unless otherwise noted). From there you will be led to the school property.
Early Arrivals: If you plan to arrive early. There are several hotels near by and The Brick House Campground has primitive camping available with some sites first come first serve and others available for registration.
