Cutting into a wooden stick or log to reveal a useful and beautiful object of your own creation is both relaxing and carries with it a sense of accomplishment. Woodchucking grows fine motor skills and begins your relationship with the stick in your hand.
What should I expect?
At the end of this one day course, students should be able to carve the famous Try Stick and understand why those cuts make sense within a wilderness environment. Expect quality instruction detailing the purpose, construction, and usage of methods of carving and hand wood-crafting.
